The boiler quality and pressure vessel steel plates are primarily intended for use in welded pressure vessels where notch toughness is important. These grades cover a range of tensile strengths from 450 – 620 MPa and this versatility explains much of the specifications popularity. According to different strength levels, the plates are available in four grades: Grade 55, Grade 60, Grade 65, and Grade 70. The maximum thickness of plates is primarily limited only by the capacity of the composition to meet the specified mechanical property requirements. The steel is killed and conforms to fine austenitic grain size requirements. Generally, steel plates are hot / cold formed are moulded to desired shape for major boilers to withstand high temperature, pressure and adverse corrosive environments.
Since boilers and pressure vessels carry high pressure and temperature fluids and hold low- temperature fluids as well, the steel plates ought to have properties like high strength, toughness, ductility and resistance to corrosion. Due to high temperature applications, these steel plates have excellent creep resistant properties. Further, VKICL can also supply crack resistant hydrogen induced steel plates which serve as vital material for pressure vessels. VKICL supplies Boiler Quality Plates only of superior quality that can hold the internal pressure in valves and boilers. Our clients repeatedly prefer us for the longevity and durability of our products.
